Course Descriptions

EDEL 495 LEC B03 and EDCT 400 LEC B03

The main focus of this course is to provide a concentrated period of time to develop a body of work using printmaking techniques. No previous knowledge of printmaking is required. The course will explore historical and contemporary artists as a way to understand printmaking as a vehicle for communication and expression. Direction will be given to the process of developing work and building individual artistic style through experimentation. Students will also enhance their understanding of teaching printmaking.

The classes will combine lecture and demonstration, as well as discussions, individual research, and studio time. Open to students in all faculties, including Open Studies. Department consent is not required.
